I'm not a fan of football, soccer, or any other sports (aside from racing cars) but I have a respect for other athletes who enjoy playing their sport.
If you've never watched the series Hajime no Ippo I'd highly recommend it. Not because I'm absolutely in-love with boxing and the anime is about boxing, but because it actually is a good anime series. A lot of people who don't even like boxing rate it a ten and I'm not lying. The anime shows good aspects of humor, determination, hate, love, and stirs up all sorts of emotions. It shows you the story of a former bullied student who finds something he loves and pursues to be the best at it. It's filled with lots of humor and I guarantee you will laugh while watching it. It's like a very good book which makes you also want to turn the next page to see what happens. With that being said it's also very engaging and thrilling to watch. It's a very very very entertaining series to watch and I would recommend anyone to watch it.
Here's a new poem I composed due to my penchant for boxing.
Story of the Flyweight (10/25/09):
Your gloves are heavy, and your mouth is dry,
You've trained for this moment, don't let it fly by.
You thrust your body, and your swings are wide,
You feel the power, and the damage build up inside.
It's difficult to understand, why we enjoy this,
A sport where we fight, and exchange hits.
Maybe we love to win, or love to fight,
Maybe we hold our pride, or have money in sight.
One thing's for certain, it can't be explained,
It gives us something, that nothing else can.
No more pain, and no more sorrow,
There's no past, nor a tomorrow.
All that matters are the lights, and the cheers,
The time you're given, feels like years.
For my body can be weakened,
and my thoughts might not be clear,
My mind can be foggy, but I have no fear.
You can shatter my dreams, and make me stagger,
but my spirit never dies, nor will it ever.
I'll fight on till I'm numb, without a rest,
I'll take blows to the face and take blows to the chest.
I'll always fight on, till I give out my last breath,
There's an end I chase, till it's in my grasp.
When your arms get heavy, and you're out of breath,
You're still only human, but there's still something left.
It's a drive of fire, a fuel for flames,
A fighter's desire, for winning his game.
Call it stupid, call it love, or call it insane,
It's a sport that I love, and that will never change.

Name's Chris, SRH, but people here on AP call me Nymph. I'm Filipino, but I don't speak Tagalog and I live in the U.S. I'm currently a freshman at University of North Florida and enjoy watching a lot of short series anime. I love playing the piano/keyboard and enjoy playing sad pieces off of anime. I'm for the most part a very outgoing person even though I'm not really that active with people I don't know. I'm not too hardcore of an anime fan (that I consider myself). I first got interested in anime by my older sister. I'd have to say my all time favorite anime would be Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, due to the ending. I'm a sucker for Romance based series with endings that I favor. Such examples would be ef a tale of memories (and melodies), Clannad, Shuffle!, Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora, Yoake Mae Yori Ruri Iro Na and others related to this type (both story & art of the anime).
I feel more content seeing the girl that always loved the main character (or as I call the "original lover") happy with him :) in the end. Of course there are exceptions (such as Asa off Shuffle!), but normally I prefer the "original lover" to be with the main character (Like Nayuki off Kanon). My perspective upon this is very different and misleading to what you might be thinking. If you've ever seen "School Days" you know that Kotonoha is the "original lover" by fact; however I perceive Sekai as the "original lover" because she was (through my eyes) introduced in the anime series first as the person who had strong emotions towards the main character. I consider her as the "original lover", and...
[Spoiler Alert For Kimi ga Nozomu Eien]
...this is why I love Kimi ga Nozomu Eien because it's like School Days having a happy ending with Sekai if you think about it.

The Poem, When I read it. I think about boxing, and about how you have to fight through life sometimes. And that you shouldn't never give up. Might just but me. But Nice Poem.
Well how are you, and what have you been doing ?

I want to learn how to play too, but I don't know where to start. Did you go to music classes or did you learn on your own?
I mean we had to write the pre lab stuff too but only like our summary of the objective/procedure and key points and just staple other important stuff in.
